Our team is made up of passionate, talented, and dedicated individuals who bring their unique experiences, skills, and perspectives to ESI. Together, we are committed to creating meaningful opportunities, building sustainable solutions, and making a positive impact in our community.
We launched Equitable Solutions for the Indigenous (ESI) in November 2024 to create greater economic opportunities and support self-determination within Indigenous communities. ESI was founded to develop sustainable, culturally grounded solutions that empower our peoples through economic development, innovation, and community-led initiatives. One of ESI’s current activities includes providing financial technical assistance to U.S.-Affiliated Community Health Centers (CHCs). We support CHCs by strengthening organizational capacity, improving financial systems and operations, and helping address the unique needs of the communities they serve. Through this work, ESI advances equitable access to quality healthcare and supports stronger, more sustainable health systems across U.S.-Affiliated Pacific Island communities.
Through our programs, we work to connect Indigenous individuals and communities with relevant information, resources, support, and opportunities. Our initiatives may include financial education and capacity building, navigation of health and financial resources, community outreach, culturally responsive education, and partnerships that address gaps in services and support.
We are committed to approaching this work in a way that respects the unique histories, cultures, knowledge systems, and priorities of Indigenous communities.
To help Indigenous communities get the support they need to live better lives by addressing Indigenous issues, such as the intersection of health and finance.
Our organization is dedicated to helping Indigenous communities access the resources, knowledge, and support needed to live healthier, more financially secure, and self-determined lives. Our work recognizes that many Indigenous communities experience interconnected challenges that cannot be addressed in isolation. Health, financial well-being, access to resources, education, cultural and community strengths, and long-term economic stability are deeply connected.
Our core mission is to address issues affecting Indigenous peoples through programs, services, education, and community-centered initiatives that support improved health and financial well-being. We focus particularly on the intersection of health and finance, recognizing that financial barriers and instability can directly affect an individual’s or family’s ability to access healthcare, maintain stability, make informed decisions, and achieve long-term well-being.
Ultimately, our goal is to help Indigenous communities strengthen their capacity, overcome systemic barriers, and access the support and opportunities necessary to improve health, financial well-being, and overall quality of life.
